Dr. Dhanesh Juta, Hamilton and GTA Physician

Dr. Dhanesh Juta is renowned in the field of men’s sexual health. Based in Hamilton, where he is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at McMaster University DeGroote School of Medicine, Dr. Juta is also the founder of the Precision Men’s Sexual Health Clinic in North York, which offers treatment to men from throughout the Greater Toronto Area and beyond. Dr. Juta has an impressive resume, with experience on several continents and in various areas of medicine. A Canadian board-certified family doctor who has been in clinical practice for more than 25 years, Dr. Juta has had experiences working in rural areas of South Africa with little infrastructure, in hospitals in Ireland, New Zealand, and Saskatchewan, and in Papua New Guinea, where he is the co-owner of a private hospital and two private clinics. After becoming established in Ontario 17 years ago, Dr. Juta saw the need for a clinic dedicated exclusively to men’s sexual health. Many men are reluctant to discuss these types of problems with their family doctors, and sometimes doctors in general practice don’t take these concerns seriously—or are not aware of the latest available therapies. This means that easily-treatable conditions may go untreated, leading to loss of intimacy, anxiety, or serious physical effects.

Dr. Dhanesh Juta and his team offer therapy for a number of different issues, including:

  • Erectile Dysfunction. This very common condition is thought to affect nearly half of men over 40, and almost 70% of men over 60. Dr. Juta uses a variety of different therapies to treat ED, ranging from low-intensity shockwave therapy, injection therapy , Trimix treatment, or counselling with a certified sex therapist. Often a combination of approaches works well.
  • Penis size. Medical reasons for seeking penis augmentation may include the impairment of urinary function or fertility, but men can also seek treatment for psychological reasons such as anxiety or low self-esteem caused by penis size. Precision offers injection therapy to promote blood flow, along with post-injection vacuum therapy. No surgery is necessary.
  • Premature ejaculation. It’s estimated that 1 of every 5 men experiences premature ejaculation. Precision Men’s Sexual Health Clinic offers a variety of treatments, including psychosexual and behavioural therapy with a certified sex therapist, topical and oral medications, as well as the surgical option of penile frenulectomy. Dr. Juta also treats patients for delayed ejaculation.

They also provide treatment for low testosterone, Peyronie’s Disease (curvature of the penis), frenulum breve (a tightening of the muscle below the penis, and penile lichen sclerosus (an autoimmune skin condition that can affect the foreskin and the glans).
